Penerapan Model Role Playing Berbantuan Metode Sosiodrama untuk Meningkatkan Keaktifan Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran IPAS Kelas IV

Abstrak

This study aims to improve student activity in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning through the implementation of the Role Playing model supported by the Sociodrama method. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects were 26 fourth-grade students at a public elementary school in Malang City. Observation results indicated an increase in student activity from 44.78% in the pre cycle to 61.81% in cycle I, and further to 82% in cycle II. This improvement reflects the success of the applied instructional strategy. The Role Playing model combined with the Sociodrama method created an interactive, enjoyable, and contextual learning environment that encouraged students to be more actively involved in the learning process. Therefore, this strategy is effective in enhancing student participation and is highly recommended for broader implementation in IPAS learning.
