Peningkatan Hasil Belajar IPAS melalui Model Discovery Learning Berbantuan Media Ular Tangga

Abstrak

This study aims to determine the improvement of learning outcomes in the IPAS subject through the application of the Discovery Learning model assisted by the snakes and ladders learning media for fifth-grade students at SDN Gadang 01 Kota Malang. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with 26 students as subjects, consisting of 13 female and 13 male students. The study was conducted through four main stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results indicate that the Discovery Learning model is effective in enhancing students' critical thinking skills. The average indicator achievement increased from 52.88% in the precycle to 73.8% in the first cycle, and 88.26% in the second cycle. These findings highlight the importance of applying adaptive learning approaches to accommodate student diversity in achieving learning objectives. Therefore, implementing the Discovery Learning model with snakes and ladders media can be an effective strategy to improve students' critical thinking skills in the IPAS subject.
