Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to make improvements to student learning outcomes in the material multiplication in mathematics learning using the Multiplication Smart Board (PAPINKA) uses a discovery learning model in class 3. This research is included in the Classroom Action Research (PTK) type and uses a quantitative approach. The PTK model uses Kemmis and Mc Taggart's. Researchers conducted research in two cycles, and in each cycle there are four stages, namely: 1) Action Planning, 2) Action Implementation, 3) Observation/Observation, and 4) Reflection The results of this research state that the use of Multiplication Smart Board media (PAPINKA) is capable of causes an increase in student learning outcomes which is reflected in an increase in the average and level of student learning completion. In the first cycle test the average score was 74 and the completion rate was 75%. In the Cycle II test the average student score rose to 91 and the student completion rate reached 92%. In cycle II the average student increased by 17. Meanwhile the level of completion increased by 17%. This proves that lessons using the Multiplication Smart Board (PAPINKA) were successful and improved as expected.
