Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to enhance the engagement of 5th-grade students at SDN Polowijen 1, Malang City, in mathematics learning by implementing the Team Games Tournament (TGT) model assisted by the Musi board media. Student engagement was assessed based on five indicators: attention, discipline, problem-solving, cooperation and social relations, and the ability to express opinions. The study was conducted in two cycles using Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology. The results showed an increase in student engagement across all indicators after applying the TGT learning model assisted by the Musi board. The most significant improvements were observed in the discipline and problem-solving indicators. In conclusion, the TGT learning model, combined with the Musi board learning media, proved effective in enhancing student engagement in mathematics. learning.
