Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of grade 3 students in IPA subjects. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes on the material of the life cycle of living things through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model with the help of diorama media. This study used the method of classroom action research (PTK) conducted over two cycles. The population used in this study were 26 subjects in class 3. The data collection techniques used were through tests and observations. Student learning outcomes on the material of the life cycle of living things obtained from cycle 1 averaged 72 and in cycle 2 the average was 83. While the percentage of completeness of learning outcomes in cycle 1 reached 65%, in cycle 2 the percentage of completeness of learning outcomes increased by 88%. So from the results of the study it can be concluded that the application of the PBL learning model with the help of diorama media improves the learning outcomes of grade 3 students on the material of the life cycle of living things.
