Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of class IV students by looking at activeness and critical thinking through the application of the Reciprocal Teaching model which is integrated through concept maps. According to Kemmis and Taggart, there are 4 stages of classroom action research, namely the planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. Data analysis used used interview, test, observation and documentation techniques. The application of appropriate strategies is of course supported by appropriate concrete media in collaboration with technology so that students can easily understand the material being studied. The results obtained by students from the pre-cycle achieved a success percentage of 46.42%. After implementing the Reciprocal Teaching model with integrated concept maps, the results obtained in cycle 1 were 82.14% and cycle 2 was 92.85%. The percentage results increase, so that the learning carried out is effective and can be meaningful for students.
