Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to increase understanding of the concept of fractions using Papeca Media on half fractions and quarter fractions by implementing the Learning Cycle 7E learning model. The subjects of this research were 27 grade 2 students at SDN Bandungrejosari 3, consisting of 15 male students and 15 female students. The data collection techniques used are tests, observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are quantitative descriptive and qualitative descriptive. The results of the research show that the understanding of the concept of fractions for class II students at SD Negeri Bandungrejosari 3 increased after implementing the Learning Cycle 7E model assisted by Media Papeca in learning. This is proven by the percentage of completeness in pre-action of 30%, then in cycle I it increased to 56% and in cycle II it increased to 89%. The average pre-action score was 43.3, in cycle I it was 76.9 and in cycle II it increased to 84.6.
