Peningkatan Motivasi dan Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas V Sekolah Dasar Melalui Pendekatan TaRL (Teaching at the Right Level)
Abstract
Abstract: This research aimed to improve the motivation and mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students on the topic of Data Presentation through the application of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach. The TaRL approach allows teachers to provide materials and instruction according to each student's ability level. This research used a classroom action research method consisting of two cycles. The results showed a significant increase in student motivation and learning outcomes after implementing the TaRL approach. In the initial assessment, only 20% of students achieved mastery and had high learning motivation. After the actions in cycle I, the number of students with high motivation and learning mastery increased to around 48%. In cycle II, the increase was more significant with 84% of students having high motivation and achieving mastery in learning. The new finding in this research is that the application of the TaRL approach proved effective in improving elementary school students' motivation and mathematics learning outcomes on the topic of Data Presentation.
