Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to increase students' activeness and understanding of concepts in number material by using the Discovery Learning learning model assisted by TEBALABU media. The type of research used is classroom action research. This research was conducted at an elementary school in the city of Malang. The subjects of this research were 26 students in class II B at SDN Bandungrejosari 1. Data collection methods use tests and non-tests. The research procedure uses 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of 4 steps, namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of this research show an increase in the activity and understanding of concepts in class II B students at SDN Bandungrejosari. Increased activity and understanding of concepts in each cycle. The results of the research showed that there was an increase in student activity from cycle I by 74% to 89% in cycle II. Meanwhile, students' conceptual understanding increased from cycle I by 73% to 88% in cycle II. Based on the results of this research, the use of the Discovery Learning learning model with the help of TEBALABU media can increase student activity and students' understanding of concepts in class II number material.
