Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the “PAIKEM GEMBROT” model with ethonamtematics nuances in improving the numeracy skills of grade V students of SDN Gadang on data processing material. This research is a class action research conducted in 2 cycles. The data collection techniques of this research are observation, interviews, and tests. The subjects of this study were 28 fifth grade students of SDN Gadang 4. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the numeracy skills of students on data processing material increased significantly after applying the PAIKEM GEMBROT model with ethnomathematics nuances. This is proven by the results in cycle 1 reaching a class completion of 43% which is categorized as less numeracy skill, then increasing in cycle 2 so that it reaches 93% with a high numeracy skill category.
