Abstract

Mathematics learning is often considered a difficult subject and seems unpleasant to student.
This is supported by the facts in the field that student difficulties occur because learning mathematics
mostly memoriez formulas and the lack of use of concrete learning media in the application of
learning, especially in folding and rotating symmetry materials. This research alms to explain the
application of PjBL model assisted media folding and rotating symmetry also improving learning
outcames in mathematics on folding and rotating symmetry materials. The type in this research is
PTK-K with spiral cycle model from Kemmis and Taggart. The results stated that the implementation
of the PjBL model asisted media folding and rotating symmetry could be carried out well as evidenced
by an increase in student activity from 54,5% in cycle 1 to 87,9% at stage cycle 2. The model PjBL can
also improve student learning outcomes as evidenced by the average result student learning in cycle 1
65,15 increased to 83,8 in cycle 2.
