Penerapan Model Discovery Learning untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik Kelas 5 Materi IPAS Berbantuan Media Pembelajaran Argumented Reality (AR)
Abstract
This classroom action research aims to improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade students at Bakalan Krajan 1 Elementary School, Malang City, in the science subject, specifically the topic of Regional Cultural Acculturation, through the application of the Discovery Learning model assisted by Augmented Reality (AR). The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. In cycle I, the implementation of the Discovery Learning model without AR resulted in an average student score of 69.5 with a classical completion rate of 56%, which did not meet the success criteria of 80% or more. Improvements were made in cycle II by integrating AR media, which allows students to interact visually and contextually with abstract material. The results showed a significant increase, with an average score of 83.3 and a classical completion rate of 81%. AR media has been proven to visualize concepts concretely and increase student active engagement in the learning process. Thus, the AR-assisted Discovery Learning model can be an effective alternative in teaching science and other subjects that require conceptual understanding and active student participation.
