Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) through the application of the gallery walk method. The study was conducted in class IV A of SDN Kebonsari 2 Malang City using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach model Kemmis and McTaggart consisting of two cycles. Each cycle includes the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection methods were carried out through observation, assignments, and tests. The results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle, the learning completion rate was 64%, increased to 86% in cycle I, and reached 89.29% in cycle II. The average class score also increased from 86.96 in cycle I to 90.89 in cycle II. The gallery walk method has proven effective in creating an active, collaborative, and enjoyable learning atmosphere, as well as encouraging maximum student involvement. Thus, this method can be used as an alternative innovative learning strategy in improving the quality of IPAS learning in elementary schools.
