Abstract

Abstract: Effective and efficient learning necessitates an appropriate instructional model. Based on initial observations and assessments, this study implements learning through the Guided Inquiry Learning model, aiming for students to comprehend fractions in line with the learning objectives. This research is a collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted with the guidance teacher (GT) and Field Supervising Lecturer (FSL), carried out in two cycles. The research subjects are the 2A class consisting of 26 students, comprising 14 male students and 12 female students. The cognitive learning outcomes of students in Cycle I indicate that 46% of students have achieved the mastery criteria, with an average score of 69, still below the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC) of 75. In Cycle II, there was an increase to 85% of students who achieved mastery, with an average score of 91. It can be concluded that the Guided Inquiry Learning model successfully enhanced students' learning outcomes, as evidenced by the improvement in pretest and posttest scores in each cycle. The students' cognitive achievements increased from 46% in Cycle I to 85% in Cycle II. This indicates that the implementation of the Guided Inquiry Learning model in the 2A class of SDN Kebonsari 3, Malang City, effectively improved students' academic achievements.
