Abstract

Abstract: Learning activities that are less centered on students' backgrounds and problem solving processes make learning activities less meaningful for students. This also results in low student understanding, one of which is in learning science and technology. This research aims to get an overview of improving students' science learning outcomes through implementing the Problem Based learning model with a Culturally Responsive Teaching approach. The research subjects were 27 students in class IVB at SD Negeri Bandungrejosari 02 for the 2023/2024 academic year, consisting of 12 male students and 15 female students. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (PTK) with a Kurt Lewin model research design carried out in two cycles. This research consists of four stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The research instruments used include observation sheets and tests. The results of the research show that there has been an increase in student learning outcomes. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the Project-based learning model with a Culturally Responsive Teaching approach is very important to apply in learning activities because it is able to improve students' science learning outcomes.
