Abstract

Abstract: Learning Indonesian can train students to have reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. However, based on the reality, many students consider learning Indonesian to be a boring learning activity so they are not actively involved in learning. The aim of this research is to increase students' active learning through scrapbook learning media. The research method used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The result of this research is that there was an increase in the learning activity of students from cycle I and cycle II using scrapbook learning media. Cycle I had an average learning activity of 55.25% and cycle II had an average learning activity of 85%, resulting in an increase in student learning activity of 29.75%. It can be concluded that the application of scrapbook learning media can increase students' activeness in learning Indonesian, such as answering teacher questions, paying attention to teacher explanations, working together with friends, and asking the teacher if there is something they don't understand.
