Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning learning model assisted by geoboard media in an effort to improve the ability to know mathematics subjects about flat shapes in class IV elementary school students. This type of research uses classroom action research which consists of 2 cycles. The subjects in this research were 26 class IV students at SDN Bandungrejosari 4 Malang. The object of this research is students' knowledge abilities by implementing the geoboard-assisted discovery learning model. The data collection method in this research is the test method. The data collected in this research is data on student learning outcomes in the knowledge (cognitive) aspect of mathematics in flat shapes. The results of the research showed that there was an increase in students' knowledge skills in the mathematics subject of flat shapes in class IV elementary school. This can be proven from the results of the students' learning completeness percentage (cognitive score) reaching 80.77%.
