Abstract

Abstract: The characteristics of elementary school students are in the concrete thinking stage, so they need help with real objects that can be seen in learning. However, in this case, the learning media available in the classroom is still limited, so student learning outcomes are not optimal. This research aims to determine the improvement in science and science learning outcomes through a discovery learning model assisted by interactive multimedia. The research subjects were 24 class IVB students. Data was collected using the test method. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive statistics. The results of the research show an increase in science learning outcomes in class IV B students. This can be seen in pre-cycle student learning outcomes with 33% learning completeness, 58% in cycle I, 79% in cycle II. It can be concluded that the application of the discovery learning model assisted by interactive multimedia can improve the learning outcomes of class IVB students. The implication of the research is that it can increase student activity and make learning more meaningful and not easily forgotten by students.
