Meningkatkan Motivasi Menulis Cerpen Kelas XI-1 SMAN 6 Malang Dengan Metode Pict To Pict
Abstract
Abstract: This study focuses on improving short story writing motivation using the Pict to Pict method in class XI-1 of SMAN 6 Malang with the research problem, namely how can the Pict to Pict method improve the short story writing motivation of class XI-1 students of SMAN 6 Malang? The type of research is PTK (Classroom Action Research) which was carried out in two cycles. This study used (1) observation, (2) questionnaires to collect data, and (3) short story project assessment sheets. The results of the study showed that the application of the Pict to Pict method can increase students' motivation to write short stories. This is indicated by the learning activities and short story writing motivation of students, the increase in enthusiasm, creativity, and spirit of students in participating in learning and completing assignments. This method helps students to more easily imagine and compose interesting and creative short stories. The scores for learning activities and writing motivation for students in cycle 1 were 64%, while the scores for learning activities and writing motivation for students in cycle 2 were 80%. The score for the short story writing assessment results in cycle 1 was 58%, while the score for the short story writing assessment using the Pict to Pict method in cycle 2 was 80%.
