Abstract

Abstract: Student interaction with concrete objects around them can improve student learning outcomes. Especially the provision of action by using concrete learning media will affect the improvement of learning outcomes in Mathematics subjects. The purpose of this study was to improve math learning outcomes on bar and line diagram material through the use of concrete media in 4th grade students of SDN Tanjungrejo 2 Malang City. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) with a design according to Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The research subjects used were class 4A students of SDN Tanjungrejo 2 Malang City totaling 28 students. Data collection techniques used direct observation, documentation, and tests. Data analysis used quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of PTK show that the application of concrete media in Mathematics subjects can improve student learning outcomes. As a result, 6 students (21%) reached the KKM in the pre-cycle, 13 students (46%) reached the KKM in cycle I, and 23 students (82%) reached the KKM in cycle II.
