Abstract

Abstract: This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which aims to improve and increase student learning outcomes through a Culturally responsive teaching approach in the Indonesian language subject of advertising text material. This research consists of two cycles with several stages including planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this research were 28 students in class VIII F SMPN 1 Pakisaji. Data sources through observation methods, diagnostic tests. The instrument used in this research is the LKPD. Data collection techniques in this research used written tests and student project assignments in the form of advertising text infographics. This qualitative data analysis technique is used to describe the results of observations. The success indicator of this research is marked by an increase in student learning outcomes in learning which is expected to reach a minimum of 75% by achieving a KKM score of 75. From the research results it was found that in cycle 1 individual learning outcomes were obtained at 50% of 28 students and experienced an increase in cycle 2 with presentation of 97% of 28 students, thus the application of the Culturally responsive teaching approach to advertising text material using Canva design can be said to be effective in improving student learning outcomes.
