Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this study is to improve the slogan writing skills of class VIII-G at SMPN 1 Pakisaji throught the inplementation of the Poblem Based Learning model with the aid of audiovisual media. The research method used in this study is Classroom Action Research, conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists oh the planning, action, observation, and reflection phases. The results show that the application of the Poblem Based Learning model can enhance students’ slogan writing skills. In the first cycle, the percentage of students who met the proficiency standard increased by 76.67%, and in the second cycle, it further increased to 96,67%. Additionally, the use of audiovisual media proved to be effective in helping students understanding the concept of creating slogans in a creative and engaging manner. Therefore, the Poblem Based Learning model with audiovisual media can be used as an effective alternative teaching method to improve students’ writing skills in Class VIII-G at SMPN 1 Pakiasji.
