Abstract

Abstract: This research is based on the low cognitive learning outcomes of students in mathematics subjects. The aim of this research is to determine the application of the TPS learning model to improve cognitive mathematics learning outcomes for class V students at SDN Purwantoro 5, Malang City. This research is classroom action research, each cycle is carried out through 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research subjects were 11 students. Data collection methods through observation and tests. Data analysis techniques use descriptive quantitative. The research results show that the application of the TPS model assisted by interactive PPT is effective in improving students' cognitive learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle the average student achievement indicator was 49.1 with a completion percentage of 36.4%, then in cycle I it increased to 67.3 with a completion percentage of 54.5%, in cycle II it increased to 87.3 with a completion percentage of 81. 8%. Thus, the application of the TPS learning model assisted by interactive PPT is effective in improving students' cognitive mathematics learning outcomes in the material of multiplying decimal numbers.
