Abstract

Abstract: The characteristic of effective teaching is providing students with opportunities for independent learning. One of the cooperative learning models is Number Head Together (NHT). This research aims to improve learning outcomes in the use of capital letters and punctuation marks in sentences using the NHT learning model. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with the research subjects being class 2C students at Buring Elementary School, Malang City for the 2024/2025 academic year with a total of 28 students. Two cycles of research were carried out and each cycle had four stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. . Researchers use quantitative descriptive data analysis techniques in research. Indicators of research success are marked by increasing student achievement results who reach the KKM. In cycle I the average student evaluation score was 69, 12 students completed the learning or only 43% met the KKM. The expected classical completeness is 85%, therefore learning in cycle I has not met the target. In cycle 2, the average evaluation score was 84. There were 24 students or 86% who had achieved completeness. Apart from that, 4 students or 14% have not met the specified KKM, namely 70. Thus, the learning outcomes of Class 2C students in using capital letters and punctuation marks in sentences have increased with the application of the NHT learning model.
