Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Menggunakan Model Project Based Learning Mata Pelajaran IPAS Kelas 4 SD
Abstract
Abstract. The aim of this research is to improve science and science learning outcomes through the Project Based Learning (PJBL) model for class IV at SDN Bandulan 2, Malang City, academic year 2023/2024. This research is classroom action research which is motivated by problems that occurred at SDN Bandulan 2, Malang City in science and science learning for Class IV Elementary School. The problem that arises is a monotonous learning atmosphere that makes students feel bored and not very active in class, making student learning outcomes decrease and learning activities in class are not very enjoyable. The corrective action chosen in this research was the application of the Project Based Learning (PJBL) model with research subjects totaling 26 fourth grade elementary school students. Data collection techniques include observation to observe activities in class, as well as written tests to determine student learning outcomes. The data analysis method used is a qualitative and quantitative descriptive approach. This research used 2 cycles, namely the first cycle implemented learning activities using the PJBL model, producing a concept map about alternative energy sources, but because it was still in the adaptation stage, the results obtained were less than optimal, namely an average of 67.5 learning activities with fairly good learning outcomes of 85. Then in the cycle 2 focuses more on learning activities, namely inviting students to make candles from cooking oil. Applying this activity can improve the results of student learning activities and student learning outcomes, namely 92.5 and an average test score of 95. Thus the results of the research show that this research is classified as succeeded in improving learning outcomes and student activities through the Project Based Learning learning model.
