Abstract

Abstract: Based on the pre-test results for Class 2A students at SDN Arjowinangun 2, Malang City, there were 15 students who experienced difficulty in applying addition and subtraction material, this was shown by the number of students who scored below the minimum completeness criteria.  The aim of this research is to describe the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by RUNGKAT media (mathematical number rubik), to improve learning outcomes in addition and subtraction material for Class 2A students at SDN Arjowinangun 2, Malang City. The research method used Classroom Action Research (PTK). The research subjects were Class 2A students, totaling 27 students. Data collection techniques through observation, documentation, assignments. Researchers used instruments in the form of Pre Test and Post Test assessment sheets. This research data analysis technique uses quantitative data. The results showed an increase in each cycle. In the Cycle I Post Test, it was seen that 75% of students met the achievement criteria. In cycle II the post test results increased to 82% of students meeting the achievement criteria. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by RUNGKAT media (mathematical number rubik) can improve learning outcomes in addition and subtraction material for Class 2A students at SDN Arjowinangun 2, Malang City.
