Abstract

Abstract: This research explores the use of the Quizizz digital platform and the Discovery Learning model to enhance the motivation of fourth-grade students in learning Indonesian at SDN Purwantoro 4 Malang. The background of this study highlights the lack of innovative media in current teaching methods, which has contributed to low student motivation. The objective of this Classroom Action Research (CAR) was to improve student motivation and engagement through the combination of Quizizz and Discovery Learning. The research was conducted in two cycles with 24 students as subjects. Data collection techniques included observation and tests. The results indicated a significant increase in student participation and understanding of sentence structure, with motivation rising by 20% from Cycle 1 to Cycle 2. In conclusion, the integration of digital platforms and active learning models can effectively enhance students’ motivation and comprehension in language learning. The implications of this study indicate that the application of the Discovery Learning model and the use of digital platforms such as Quizizz can provide a new approach to learning Indonesian in elementary schools.
