Abstract

Abstract: This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK), This study was conducted with the aim of improving student learning outcomes through of the Numbered Heads Together cooperative learning model. (NHT). The subjects of this study are from the second grade at SDN Kota Malang, consisting of 28 students. This research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. This type of research methods is Classroom Action Research (PTK).The research results show that the implementation of the NHT model successfully increased student engagement and cognitive learning outcomes significantly. The data collected through observation and learning outcome tests show a consistent improvement in understanding mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills.Based on the results of Cycle I, there was an improvement in student learning outcomes, with a percentage of 48.75% in the completed category and 51.25% in the incomplete category. In Cycle II, there was a significant increase in student learning outcomes, with a percentage of 77.50% in the completed category and 22.50% in the incomplete category. The significant improvement in learning outcomes was observed at the cognitive levels C2 and C3, with an increase of 30% in activities related to comparing and determining. Therefore, it can be concluded that the NHT model is an effective strategy for improving learning outcomes in mathematics for second-grade students at SDN Kota Malang.
