PENDIDIKAN NILAI KARAKTER DISIPLIN PADA PEMBELAJARAN TEMA 9 (KAYANYA NEGERIKU) SUBTEMA 1 (KEKAYAAN SUMBER ENERGI DI INDONESIA) DI KELAS IV SDN 1 KENONGO JABUNG
Abstract
This study aims to find out 1) Discipline character value education in learning Theme 9 Sub-themes in class IV. 2) Obstacles and solutions in character value education discipline in learning Theme 9 Sub-theme 1 in class IV. This type of research uses a qualitative approach and descriptive research methods. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use triangulation, namely reduction, display, and data verification. The results of the study show that class IV teachers and school principals have provided disciplinary character value education to students through learning themes 9 sub-themes 1 where at the time of learning the teacher includes the disciplinary character values in the lesson plan and at the end of the lesson the teacher always gives appreciation and advice to always be disciplined. The provision of disciplined character value education requires the role of the teacher as an educator, through learning activities or outside of learning. The role of the teacher is very important for providing disciplinary character value education to students such as school principals, with a class-to-class approach the principal provides motivation, direction, and educational advice to students so as to create students with disciplined character. The obstacle faced by the teacher as an educator is to provide character value education for the discipline of teachers, it is difficult to approach students for this reason, the teacher needs to understand each character of the different individual students to provide reinforcement or advice that builds students so that they can grow students with good character. discipline. Thus, in the education of student discipline character values in learning in the classroom and outside learning, the support of all parties from the school is needed
