Abstract

Teachers are at the forefront of changing times. At this time it is no longer an obstacle for teachers who have high emotional intelligence along in the industrial era 4.0 to become effective schools. The purpose is to describe the emotional intelligence of teachers and the effectiveness of public elementary schools in Malang City, to explain the effect of emotional intelligence of state elementary school teachers in Malang City. The method used is quantitative. The results of the study R Square value of 44.1%. The conclusion is the emotional intelligence of state elementary school teachers in Malang City is a good category, the effectiveness of state elementary school teachers in Malang City is very good, teacher's emotional intelligence has a significant positive effect on the effectiveness of state elementary schools in Malang City. The implication of this research it can measure the level of emotional intelligence of teachers in their educational tasks in order to realize active and synergistic collaboration so that they can produce quality outputs.
