Penanaman Nilai-Nilai Budaya Sekolah Dalam Program Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) Selama Pandemi Covid-19

Abstract

This research was motivate by government program create a character who likes to read, namely the GLS (school literacy movement). This research uses ethnographic qualitative research. The instruments used are interview guidelines, observation guidelines and documentation study guidelines and analyze using Miles and Huberman. The findings from the study show that the GLS program at the Saleh Children's Elementary School in Malang City has implemented the habit of 15 minutes of reading even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The KALI (literacy pocket) program is the hallmark of the Saleh Children's Elementary School which has become the school's culture. Another GLS program at SD Anak Saleh is KANCIL (Community for Children of Saleh Love Literacy). Parties outside the school, especially families, are supporters of creating literacy like reading by implementing a reading culture. The cultural values ​​in SD Anak Saleh include: (1) the culture of reading short letters, (2) the culture of having to visit the library, and (3) the culture of liking to read. The school literacy movement at Anak Saleh Elementary School forms a culture due to the habit of reading even though there are obstacles to the COVID-19  pandemic.
