Upaya Guru Dalam Membentuk Karakter Siswa Peduli Lingkungan Pada Kelas III MIN Kota Jambi

Abstract

This research aims to describe the process of character building for students who care about the environment in 3^rd grades which is carried out at MIN Jambi City. This research applied  qualitative field research method. The data which been used in this research came from observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that environmental care character education was obtained through love of cleanliness activities and planting love character. The value of character education can be developed in everyday life at school through daily routine picket activities, caring for plants, disposing of garbage in its place, community service and others. The availability of infrastructure, the role of all school members including the principal, teachers and students are supporting factors in the formation of the character of students who care about the environment. While the inhibiting factors are the school environment and the different character of students.
