Abstract

Abstract: Learning in class has not been carried out optimally because the teacher only uses the lecture method, students pay less attention to the teacher when explaining the material and students tend to be passive when learning activities take place. This study aims to determine the effect of the mind mapping-assisted cooperative script learning model on critical thinking skills of fifth grade students of SDN Sukun 3 Malang. This research uses a quantitative approach. The design of this study is the Non-Equivalent Control group Design. The instrument test used the validity and reliability test, the prerequisite analysis used the normality test and the homogeneity test and the data analysis test used the hypothesis test. Sampling using a saturated sampling system. Students 'critical thinking skills were obtained from the results of a critical thinking skills questionnaire, and tests of students' critical thinking skills. Data analysis used T test Independent-sample-t-test with the help of SPSS 21.0 for windows at a significance level of 5%. The results of this study include (1) Based on the results of the analysis obtained through hypothesis testing assisted by SPSS 21.0 for windows, it is obtained tcount> ttable (1,853> 0.334) it can be concluded that there is an influence of the mind mapping cooperative script learning model on critical thinking skills of fifth grade students of SDN Sukun 3 Malang, so it is recommended for teachers to apply this learning model and strategy because it has been proven that this model and strategy in learning can improve students' critical thinking skills in the classroom.
