Abstract

Self-confidence is a belief that a person has that he is capable of behaving as needed to obtain the expected results. There are several things that affect Student Confidence, namely in learning students still look busy themselves, learning is more teacher-centered. This happens because in delivering a concept, the teacher has not used a learning model. Teachers still use the lecture method in learning and only refer to books. The teacher also does not give responsibility to students, so that students do not dare and are responsible for doing everything, whether outside the classroom or inside the classroom. To overcome this problem, a learning model is needed that is able to involve students to play an active role, namely the TPS learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of TPS Learning Model on the Confidence of Class V Students of SDN Sukun 2 Malang. The stages in this model are the preparation of teaching materials, presentation of material, group activities, thinking, pairing up and sharing. The research subjects were fifth grade students at SDN Sukun 2 Malang with a total of 62 students with 32 students of class VA and 30 students of class VB. Research variables: TPS learning model assisted with Flashcard media (X) and self-confidence (Y). The type of research used in this research is quantitative research that uses a Quasi Experiment design or what is called a quasi-experiment. The data in this study are data from the student questionnaire and documentation. The data obtained were then processed and analyzed. The results of data analysis in this study were the data validity test, which amounted to 30 items that were declared valid. In addition, the reliability test shows that the reliability value is α of 0.959 from 30 items. Based on the research results, the hypothesis using the independent t-test was calculated using SPSS 22 Windows. Posttest data from the Control and Experimental classes obtained a sig value. (2-tailed) = 0.000 <0.05 students (0.880> 0.05), so it can be concluded that there is an effect of the Flashcard Media Assisted Think Pair Share Learning Model on the Confidence of Class V Students of SDN Sukun 2 Malang.
