ANALISIS KONTEN MENGENAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER PADA BUKU MUHAMMAD TELADANKU SERI 2
Abstract
Literacy culture is very important to be instilled at an early age. Children's reading books should be designed as attractive as possible with the aim of increasing children's reading interest and should containing character education and moral messages. However, at this time many children's books are circulating along with negative content such as violence, etc. This study aims to analyze the character education content contained in children's storybooks that could be used as a model of character education learning that could be done at home or at school. The method used in this study is a simple qualitative content analysis method with a descriptive approach. There are four stages in this study, namely determining objectives, specify the unit of content, locating relevant data, and analyzing the data. The method of data collection techniques used in this research is to examine and collect the values of character education contained in the book. The results of this study indicate that there are many values of character education and good examples in children's storybooks. It could be concluded that the story of Muhammad Teladanku book is worthy of being used as teaching material for character education in elementary school children.
